Building updates

April has been busy with weddings, birthdays, and our anniversary. I haven't had a chance to do a house post lately. Lots has been happening everyday, and it's been really exciting to see the finishing touches. We are less than a month out! I'm really impressed that they stayed in schedule and late May is a reality. Especially with baby number 2 due in a few months, I'm really glad we are getting in on time and will have about three months to get settled.

Since my last house update a couple weeks ago, they have finished the brick, put in our driveway, entry porch, and gutters. They've added sod and landscaped. The outside is almost finished. Here are some current photos.
New driveway!
Backyard before
Backyard after! The sod was just put in yesterday. Hopefully it takes well even given the heat we have been having.

There's a lot happening inside too. Cabinets, tile, trim, railings, and hardwoods are in. The hardwoods still need to be stained and the trim and walls need to be painted. Here are some updated inside pictures.
French doors and the office.

Dining room

Upstairs the tile and the showers and tubs and cabinets are in. Just need sinks and counter tops. Paint and carpet and we are pretty much finished upstairs! Closing is scheduled for May 27th with the move Memorial Day weekend. Under a month to go!

Nolan's one year well visit

Nolan weighed in at 24lbs 13 oz at his one year well visit. I thought he was around 25lbs. His weight is the 92nd percentile compared to other babies his age.
He is 30 inches tall and grew two inches since his 9 month appointment. He's 55th percentile for height.
Getting his head measured!
Waiting for the dr.
We love that Jeremy comes to his appointments!
Rocking in a tiny chair while we wait.

We didn't really have many questions for the doctor this time. Mainly I was just curious about introducing cows milk. I love that Nolan's doctor is very open minded and was supportive of continuing to nurse or starting to wean. The past few days I have just been nursing in the morning and at bedtime with cow's milk during the day. I'm hoping my supply stays up enough to continue that for a little while longer. Nolan still loves nursing so it's been hard for me to want to stop. I think I had hoped he would let me know when he was ready to stop but that hasn't seemed to be the case. We will see what happens the next few weeks but I am really happy we made it to a year of breastfeeding! More soon!

ACRM baby party

On Sunday, my specialist held their annual baby party! We had just missed going last year since Nolan was recently born. They always hold the party the last week in April in recognition of national infertility awareness week which is always at the end of April. I love this idea! I had been looking forward to introducing Nolan to my doctor! We also got to see one of my other doctors that did some of my early ultrasounds.
Such a great team of reproductive endocrinologists.
We got to add our thumbprints to the ACRM family tree!
Love Nolan's tiny thumb print!
We enjoyed king of pops, cotton candy, and lunch. The weather was perfect for this outdoor celebration.
They had a photographer on sight that did a group photo of all the parents and their ACRM babies. This was just after the group picture. Seeing this many people really made me realize how many other people have infertility issues or trouble staying pregnant. There were couples of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Anyone can be subject to fertility issues, and I'm thankful that we have doctors and current technology that are helping families become successful. We still have a ways to go in getting infertility issues covered by insurance though. This week and always, I'm thinking of all the people still trying to conceive and hoping to start a family!
